The Soloist

I got to attend an advance showing of The Soloist tonight. That's the movie that stars Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. It was part of the Low Income Housing Trust Fund's annual meeting. I think the movie is worth seeing. I think there were some very dignifying portrayals of homeless men and women and some of the struggles they face. I think Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor. So is Jamie Foxx. Afterward, I got to spend quite a lot of time talking with Chris Porter, who owns the North Hotel, where one of our housing programs is located. He's a great guy and I appreciated the opportunity to get to know him better. It was a great evening, so thanks to the Trust Fund for putting it on and thanks to Arloa for letting me come along!
