Emily and I went to the Cubs game tonight. They lost 3-0 to the Reds. I could see my breath.
Simon, maybe you're right. Maybe I need a proper sport. I'd love to watch a cricket match, but I confess I still feel like I don't get it. I'd need to attend one with a fan of the sport like yourself to sit there and explain it to me while it unfolded.

Paul - any time you want to see a decent game of cricket, I'll happily take you along: just buy your plane your ticket for May-August and come and enjoy the UK! The shortest form of the game is Twenty-20, which runs for about 2.5 hours, with our own version of the Seventh Innings Stretch (though not as fun!) between the 2 innings.
Alternatively, I'll meet you in Barbados in season and we can watch some great cricket there and relax in the sunshine, enjoying cricket the laid back West Indies way!
Next Saturday Charlie and I are off to Lord's (the 'home of cricket')http://www.lords.org
for the fourth day of the first Test Match between England and the West Indies. This is the longest form of the game (5 days, 11am-6pm). It's a great batting pitch,so hopefully we'll see some entertaining play.
